STAGE, COSTUME AND LIGHTING DESIGN  ·  CREATION OF SPACES  ·  PRODUCT AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

Irene Dobón is a stage designer and design engineer born in Barcelona in 1985. She studied Stage Design at Institut del Teatre (Barcelona) and at Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts, DAMU (Prague, Czech Republic). She has a Master in Art Direction Film at The Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia, ESCAC (Barcelona), as well as a Degree in Engineering of Product Design at Barcelona School of Design and Engineering ELISAVA, Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona).

 

She is specialized in the field of Stage Design, Ephemeral Spaces, Product and Graphic Design. Her job is to translate concepts, ideas and symbolisms into spatial installations and graphic compositions through the vision of space, materials, composition and ilumination.

 

Irene has a long artistic background in the field of culture that reflects her artistic and technical experience in multiple projects where she has worked as a Stage, Costume and Lightng Designer in performances, Art Director in short films, music videos, and commercials. She has also worked as head of the department of graphic design and corporate image of the company La Fura dels Baus, as well as a project designer of the company Altrimar Ingenieros doing drawings, plans and graphic documentation of engineering projects for industries and businesses. 

 

 

 

 

Irene Dobón es escenógrafa e ingeniera en diseño nacida en Barcelona en 1985. Licenciada en Escenografía en el Institut del Teatre de Barcelona y diplomada en Ingeniería en Diseño Industrial en la escuela ELISAVA. Ha cursado un Master en Dirección Artística Cinematográfica en la escuela ESCAC y un Erasmus de estudios de Escenografía en el Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU, Praga). 

 

Especializada en el campo de la Escenografía, Diseño de Espacios Efímeros, Producto y Gráfico. Su trabajo consiste en traducir conceptos, ideas y simbolismos en las instalaciones de espacios y composiciones gráficas, a través de la visión y manipulación del espacio, materiales, formas , composición e iluminación.

 

Su carrera profesional en el campo de la cultura refleja su experiencia artística y técnica en diversos proyectos donde ha trabajado como Escenógrafa, Diseñadora de Vestuario e Iluminación en numerosos espectáculos de teatro, así como de Directora de Arte en cortometrajes, videos musicales y anuncios publicitarios. Ha sido también la responsable del departamento de diseño gráfico e imagen corporativa de la compañía La Fura dels Baus, y diseñadora proyectista de la empresa Altrimar Ingenieros realizando planos y documentación gráfica de proyectos de Ingeniería para industrias y comercios.
